the survey of knowledge, attitude, and behavior of students in shiraz university of medical sciences about the ‎recycling of solid waste‎ in 2012

abstract background: solid waste generated by human activities. today, solid waste has changed a ‎lot‏ ‏with changing lifestyles. the main aim of this study ‎was to evaluate the knowledge, attitude and behavior of students in ‎shiraz university of medical sciences about the recycling of solid ‎waste. methods: this analytical -descriptive cross- sectional study was ‎done on 383 students of shiraz university of medical sciences who were ‎selected by stratified sampling. data collection tool was a questionnaire that has validity ‎and ‎reliability of the four major sectors: demographic questions, knowledge ‎‎(12 ‎questions), attitude (7 questions) and behavior (5 questions)  that ‎were ‎completed by students. collected data was analyzed using spss ‎software version 16 and by descriptive statistics, man-‎withney and ‎kruskal-wallis tests‎. findings: according to the findings of this study, students have middle levels of knowledge and behavior. an appropriate program to improve the practice should be scheduled . key words: organizational silence, organizational identity, self-concept, organizational values.
